Peace Corps Update
After almost a year of applying and testing and waiting I finally have a Peace Corps assignment. I will be an HIV/AIDS Advisor in Lesotho, a very small country completely surrounded by South Africa.
Lesotho is also known as the "Mountain Kingdom" with it's lowest point being over 1000 feet (which will make for great hiking!). Ironically enough though Lesotho is said to be almost completely devoid of trees. Hopefully the Basotho people will let me use them as subjects. :)
I am thrilled to be going on such a great adventure in a relatively unheard of part of Africa. My departure date is June 11, 2007.
